Hugo Lecoq

May
2002 - September 2008
Here were the three people who maked up the integral part of my staff :

Loïc Courteau My
coach
Our collaboration started in May 2002 when Alexia Dechaume-Balleret and I decided to end our 2-year collaboration. Loïc was definitely the person I wanted to be my coach.
I had known him for a few years already from Team France but also from the work he had done with different French players. Since then, we’ve really accomplished a lot of technical training to correct my serve and a few forehand details. And that’s taught me to feel more confident in those important moments. Now I know that I can count on my game.
Xavier Moreau My physical trainer :
Xavier took over from Jean-Claude Perrin, with whom I had been working for years. Working with Perrin was quite an experience! He’s a great guy who acted like a sergeant but still understood feminine sensitivity and together we really did some excellent work.
With Xavier, I learned to push my physical limits and to know my body. I learned to build a “tank”, as Xavier would say, so that I can play from match to match without tiring out. He made me understand details that make a difference, like active recovery after a match. That was something I used to cut short.
With Xav’, everything is very precise. He worked a lot with Loïc on what I needed to improve in my game. Xavier doesn’t travel with me on the road, but he is always in contact with Loïc or Michel.
Michel Franco MMy physiotherapist :
I met Mich’ a few years ago. Alexia had introduced us when he was still working for the ASM (Monaco’s soccer team). She had complete confidence in him and she wanted there to be a medical structure in the South, which is where we were training at the time. Michel and I hit it off right away, on both a personal and professional level. At the end of last year, when I wanted to work with someone on a full-time basis, I thought of him immediately.
